HONOS Armor produces hard armor rifle plates using modern intelligent materials and design. We offer an industry leading 10-YEAR-WARRANTY on our strictly polyethylene Level IIIA and Level III plates. ALL of our plates are Multi-Hit capable.
If you need more protection we also have plates rated to stop the most difficult in armor piercing ammunition with the least amount of weight possible. HONOS Level III+M855 plate is only 4.2 lbs and is a hybrid of both ceramic and polyethylene. For the most protection we offer our Level IV hybrid polyethylene and ceramic plate, weighing in at 5.5 lbs.
Unlike conventional ceramic plates that fracture after one hit, HONOS Hybrid Ceramic / PE plates can absorb Multiple Hits. Other plates use one giant chunk of ceramic that shatters completely after it is hit rendering it unable to accept several rounds. HONOS uses a grid system as a stopgap for its ceramic. As you can see we set the ceramic like tiles, so that while one tile may shatter from a round, the tiles around it remain intact. Combine that with a thick layer of shock absorbing PE behind it and you have the best protection possible.
